Dr. Gohar Ghushchyan-Tigranyan earned her undergraduate degree in Cognitive Psychology from the University of California, Irvine (UCI). She then pursued her doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from A.T. Still University School of Osteopathic Medicine. Her doctoral research focused on understanding the lived experiences of mothers with spinal cord injuries, providing her with unique insights into the challenges faced by families in need of support.
Dr. Tigranyan's passion for child development was ignited by her own experiences as a mother. Witnessing her children grow and develop fueled her dedication to pediatric occupational therapy. She is committed to helping families understand their children's underlying needs and how to effectively address those needs at home and within the community.
To further enhance her expertise, Dr. Tigranyan completed post-professional training in Ayres Sensory Integration® through the Collaboration for Leadership in Ayres Sensory Integration (CLASI). She is qualified to administer both the Sensory Integration and Praxis Test (SIPT) and the Evaluation of Ayres Sensory Integration (EASI).
Dr. Tigranyan remains dedicated to her professional development through ongoing post-professional training and research. She is currently in the process of obtaining her certification in Floortime, reinforcing her commitment to providing the highest level of care to the families she serves at Little Hands Big Dreams Pediatric Therapy.
